Your Library Card is for Your Use Only! And you must be present when borrowing materials. New patrons are limited to five items at a time for the first two months. Everybody is limited to three books in a subject area. Do not loan your card. If your card is lost or stolen, notify the library immediately. Lost cards may be replaced for $1.00
Due Dates are four weeks from the date borrowed for most material. New books are due in two weeks. Videos are due in two weeks. (for Caldwell Public Library materials)
Renewals are granted once, unless another patron has reserved the item. Books may be renewed by phone.
Overdue book fines are 25 cents per day. Video fines are 25 cents per day. We use a collection agency for materials that are 30 days overdue.
Lost materials should be reported as soon as possible to stop additional late charges. Replacement cost and a $5.00 processing fee will be charged for lost materials.
CHANGE IN POLICY: PLACING HOLDS
MAY 1, 2009
Due to the increase in the number of holds, constrained budgets and hiring freezes in some of the LYNX! Libraries.
HOLDS ARE LIMITED TO 5.
All current holds will be honored.
Reducing the number of holds allowed per card will enable the consortium to continue to offer free holds.
We suggest that you use MY LIST, a feature in the library catalog, to keep track of the holds you wish to place.
This feature of our catalog will help you keep track of the items that you may want to place on hold.
Login to the catalog using your card number and your pin.
Search for the item you wish to add to your list and select the record.
Just above the COPY/HOLDINGS information click ADD TO MY LIST.
Lists do expire, but each time you go to MY LIST, the expiration date is revised.
You may create as many lists as you want and give each a unique name.
You may place holds directly from the list.
For assistance please ask at the Reference Desk or call 459-3242
We hope that the limit will also decrease the wait times for popular items.
Most items circulate for 4 weeks. The Library has reciprocal borrowing with Ada Community Library, Boise Public Library, Eagle Public Library, Emmett Public Library, Hailey Public Library, Garden City Public Library, Meridian Library District, Mountain Home Public, Nampa Public Library and Twin Falls Public Library. Any items checked out in one of these libraries may be returned to any of the libraries.
Library LYNX! Catalog is the online public catalog to the libraries in Ada Community, Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett, Hailey, Garden City, Meridian, Nampa and Twin Falls.
